1- WHAT IS THE MARITIME PASSENGER TAX (TPM) ? :
When you embark to the protected natural area that is: The National Marine Nature Reserve of Reunion (RNMR), your ticket to the boat includes the words: "Tax on Marine Passengers (or TPM) included".
This tax (3.5% of the ticket price up to a limit of 1.65 € per passenger in 2016) is collected by the shipping company on behalf of the customs. Its product is then donated to the Natural Marine Reserve of Reunion to contribute to the preservation of this natural space and, if necessary to its rehabilitation, cleaning, development ...
- The tax is applicable to the year, in mainland France and overseas departments.
- It is added to the price charged to passengers but is paid at the time of booking.
- By paying this compulsory tax, you participate fully in this chain of protection of the environment of the island !
